POPSICLES
Sugar-free popsicles taste sweet, have less than 20 calories, no fat and are mostly water. Taking in more fluid helps flush out a bloated belly. The more you eat, the skinnier you will feel.
POPCORN
A single serving (3 1/2 cups) of microwaveable, minus butter of course, popcorn is about 130 calories. That's less calories than just 3 Oreo cookies. It's low in fat and high in fiber. For a fiery kick that will boost your metabolism, add a Cajun spice or drizzle on some hot sauce.
STRING CHEESE
High-protein, part-skim string cheese is a perfect choice for a slim down snack. One package is less than 75 calories and includes 6 grams of protein. Since it doesn't have to be refrigerated all the time it makes for a great "on the go" snack.
SWEET POTATO FRIES
McDonald's french fries contain 380 calories in just the medium size. So if your craving some french fries make some faux fries for a calorie count of only half. Let me tell you exactly how easy it is. Cut your sweet potato into fry shape. Brush with olive oil. Sprinkle with salt or cinnamon. Bake for approximately 30 minutes at 425 degrees. The fiber will stabilize your blood sugar and keep you from craving more junk food later on.
APPLE SLICES SPREAD WITH PEANUT BUTTER
Slices from one half of an apple spread with 1 1/2 tablespoons of peanut butter is about 200 calories. The peanut butter is loaded with protein and the apples provide fiber. They will feel you up quickly and keep you that way for awhile.
The next time the snacking urge comes sneaking up on you, be prepared. Stay away from the vending machines! Your butt and thighs will thank you. Choose snacks that make you fill full while increasing your metabolism. You wont feel starved when it comes to meal time.
