Recipes For Halloween Makeup

I know it's a lil' bit early, but school has already started and Halloween will be here before you know it.  I came across these recipes in The Tightwad Gazette by Amy Dacyczyn .  I was afraid if I filed them away, I would forget to share them in time for the holiday.  Plus,  you  just never know when you might need to whip up a batch of scar tissue.

Scar Tissue
Mix unflavored Knox gelatin and drops of hot water to make a paste.  Apply drooping open flesh with a spatula.  Apply a layer of baby powder with a puff.  Paint with acrylic craft paint to resemble scar tissue and blood.
Both of these grease paints will wipe off with baby oil..

White grease paint
Mix 2 tsp shortening, 5 tsp cornstarch and 1 tsp flour.  Add 2 or 3 drops of glycerin for smoothness.  Add food coloring for color.

Brown grease paint
Mix 1 tsp shortening and 2 1/2 tsp cocoa.  Add 2 or 3 drops of glycerin.
