Have You Seen These Yet?

ice cube and cherry
The picture I took with my phone doesn't show the lights blinking but it blinks four different colors.  And yes that's a cherry on the side which also blinks.   You could get a better view of what I am talking about if you click here.

I discovered the really cool blinking ice cube while doing a post about ice cubes right here on my blog.  If you did not get a chance to read it, you can by clicking here.

So I followed the trail after seeing an image of the lighted flashing cubes and ended up on this website: flashingblinkylights.com  WOW!  They have got all kinds of things flashing with blinky lights or blinking with flashy lights or just glowing, whatever, you know what I mean.  Don't you?  See for yourself.

If you click on the heading "Company" you'll find an inspiring story about how Chris and Laura Camarella started FBL and made it the great success it is today. A picture on that same page includes the Camarella family and their extended family (employees) makes it look like a great place to work.  Making people happy should be every company's mission statement.

They do all their business from the one location in Sun Valley, California.  If they ever want to spread some of that sunshine this way, I would happily be their first franchisee.  But until then we will have to order all of our flashing and blinking party favors from there.  But you won't mind, because they make it super easy and guarantee your happiness.

Great Deals! There Open Monday! Can't keep this to myself!

I'm crazy when it comes to vintage.  I'm even crazier when it comes to antiques.  And when I find a cheap price to satisfy my itch.  Well, I think you know, but I will say it anyway.  I go INSANE!!! Springfield, like everywhere else, have second hand stores popping up everywhere.  "Not-for-profits" like Salvation Army or DAV(aka Red Racks aka Disabled American Veterans) and Goodwill (not a charity) are even trying to get in the game.

But those places are not where you find the good stuff.  Anymore that's not where you find the best prices either.  My favorite places are the flea markets.  There are quite a few of these too, but not as many as there used to be in Springfield.  Most of the ones downtown by the square turned into art museums.  Lol, you get me, right?

Well there is still one close to downtown they haven't changed yet.  It's been in Springfield a long time.  Those who know about it are not sharing.  I can't hold it in any more.  Not only is there one downtown but they have got another location on East Trafficway.  You go under the Glenstone Avenue bridge staying on East Trafficway and before you get to Bolivar Insulation, it's on the right.  If you intersect with Chestnut Expressway you have gone too far, turn around.

What's the name you say?  Leave it to Springfield to have a flea market with the name of a ...well uh, the name is S.T.D.  Yeah, yeah, yeah go ahead and laugh.  You won't be laughing once you go there and scoop up some cheap deals.  There are over 100 booths at this location and the one downtown too.  There are two other flea markets just down the street from S.T.D. but I forget their names.

Roger and Bobby
You'll have to go there to find out exactly how they got their name, because I ain't tellin' ya!  I took some pictures while I was there last time just to show you a lil' bit of what they got.  The people that work there are pretty cool too..

How To Add Notes To Your Pics On iPhone

Taking pictures and videos has never been easier.  We're going to have pictures to go along with all those memories we are going to want to share.  But what about the details.  The who, where what, why.  How will we remember all of this for each and every single pic we took.

Imagine sharing a recipe step by step with pictures and written instructions.  How convenient that would be.

That last family reunion was awesome.  Everyone was there.  Even your relatives from another country flew in for the occasion.  Aren't you glad you took pictures to remember all of them.  How will you ever remember their names.  If only there was a way to add the names directly with the picture.

Now there is a way to do exactly that.  You would easily pay for such a needed app but you don't have to because it's free and it's available for iphone right now.  Just click right here and see for yourself.  Try it out.  You won't be sorry.

Did I mention it also helps keep those photos organized for easy access when you need it.

After you try Photo Notes come back here and let me and everybody else know how you like it.

Someone has finally labeled this time frame for history and I think it will stick. Mike from "Mike's Unique Collectible & Antique Flea Market" in Springfield, Mo has it all figured out for us.  And he can even back it up with a real story.  You'll see what I mean after reading his blog post on the website.  Just follow the link below and don't forget to holler back at me here.  I want to know what you think of the new title "The Vacant Era".  It works, don't you think?

One Day You Will Need It and They Will Be There

There are an estimated 7,000 different languages in the world.  I had no idea there were that many.  Did you?  More than likely you will encounter one of them, whether in a business situation or personal,  especially since the invention of the Internet. You'll need someone to help you understand what is being said, written or thought.  That's where Rosetta Translation comes in.
I'm fully aware of mechanical or software translators but there is no replacement for the human skills of understanding different dialects, emotions involved or the time frame for what is being said.  Not to mention a machine doesn't have the capabilities to translate through lip reading or sign language.  A one on one relationship a lot times will need to be created for successful translation in these type of situations.
A visit to their website will prove to be more entertaining than you think.  Every page contains interesting and valuable facts about something.  About language yes, but the Rosetta Gazette (blog) adds character to what may seem like a boring subject.  Want to know cures for a hang over?  Yep, you'll find that too!
If you want to find out about the 10th most spoken language in the world, (Punjabi) go to rosettatranslation.com.  Have you ever heard of whispered translating?  Me either, but they offer it.   Audio transcriptions is another service they expertly provide.  They also offer free quotes.  I'm just saying they do it all, legal, medical, financial, court, braille, lip reading, website translation and more.

Plastic Welding Production Questions Answered

Plastic welding is just what it sounds like.  With the right tools including a welding rod made up of the same material being welded together to fill any gaps.  And heat application, described below, you melt the pieces of plastic to be bonded.  Place the melted pieces together and as they cool they form a very strong bond.
There are different types of welding or heat applications.  It all depends on what type of plastic is being welded together.  Thermoplastics are commonly used because of its ability to be melted and re-melted several times without being affected.  Thermosets are plastics that will not melt easily even when exposed to very high heat.  Airless welding tools are designed specifically to deal with this type of plastic.  There is also hot gas welding which is designed to offer more precision during the welding application.
Spin welding is another method used to weld thermoplastic materials.  In this process the materials are heated by friction.  One part doesn't move and the other part generates heat by spinning on a drill press or lathe.  Once the heat is generated between the two parts high enough the part held stationary is let go to spin with the other part and held together as they are cooling.
Harbor Freight has a large inventory including what you will need to tackle your next welding adventure.  They should not be overlooked when considering where to shop for all welding supplies needed  They are staffed with some helpful folks that would be glad to answer all your questions.  If you still have more technical questions to be answered, visit http://www.heatstaking.com I'm sure you can find what you're looking for there.

All The Gold Is NOT In California

And it's not at home in my jewelry box either.  During the past few years the "bad economy" forced me to sell my gold, silver and anything else I had of value, to pay the bills.  That's got me to thinking I had better be prepared the next time something like that happens.  It doesn't even have to be a national financial crisis.  A personal financial crisis could happen anytime and set me back significantly where my finances are concerned.
I'm a woman and I love jewelry but I learned the real value is in the metal.  Being a woman I also love money.  That was a joke ladies.  Everybody loves money.  Putting it all together leaves me with an answer to my question.  What would be a good investment for my future?  What could get me out of a financial bind, God forbid, if I ever need to again?  Are you catching what I'm throwing?  That's right!  A coin collection.  It's money.  It's valuable.  It's available.  It's even entertainment.  I'm convinced!
While looking around on line for additions to my coin collection I found Great Southern Coins.  They have a huge inventory with prices that seem too good to be true.  They have an excellent return policy that guarantees a complete refund if you are not 100% satisfied upon receipt of your order.  I've read numerous reviews confirming this.  You'll also find them on Ebay with ongoing auctions.  They are on twitter as well as other social networking sites.  On their homepage they have a chart that records current market values for gold and other metal.  This also links to a graph showing value trends over time.  Great Southern Coins is at the top of my resource list.

A Necessity For Every Family With A Baby

They offer the best baby sling options at babysling.com.  The baby carriers they offer make a lot more sense than the option we had when my sons were born.  I think the carrier I lugged around was at least fifty pounds.  They were bulky and inflexible.  What were we thinking.
We've come a long way since then.  Even men don't mind using one of these.
You get free shipping and a free gift on your order of at least $75.  Plus there will be no sales tax to pay since all sales tax is paid on orders shipped to their store in New York.  What a deal!
Since your checking them out, it only makes since to check out the babywearing safety facebook page too.
Gift certificates are available and would be a huge hit with the new mommy at her baby shower.  I'm also hearing these things are the new fashion statement with all the celebrities.

Living In A Dream

Thanks for the guest post by Esteban Vinson

When I was a little girl, I always thought of Atlanta as the big city. When my parents would drive though, I would stare out the window at all the pretty buildings. Now I am finally a resident of this beautiful city. My apartment is perfect. It is in a beautiful high rise building. The apartment itself is amazing and it has the best home security atlanta can offer. I feel safe and secure in my cute little apartment. I would have never imagined my dreams would come true. Every little girl dreams of her future. Some want to be ballerinas and some want to be doctors. For me, I just wanted to live in what I thought was the most beautiful city in the world. To be living my dream is more than I could ever ask. I am well aware of how lucky I am and I want to try and be humble about the situation. I am truly blessed with many gifts and I hope one day to help another person’s dream come true. There were a lot of people who helped me achieve my dream and I will forever be thankful for each and every one of them.

Sign Up Free Recieve $15 Credit

One Kings Lane will give you a $15 credit when you sign up.  They have daily deals on already discounted product. Products are stylish, one-of-a-kind treasures from your favorite name brands.  I also enjoy reading the decorating and entertaining tips found on the web site.  Very inspiring!  I've listed a few tips below but there are lots more.

Garten’s secret for seamless cooking and serving: “Limit the menu to a handful of dishes and create a schedule.” To have her three courses done at the same time she typically selects one recipe that can be cooked in the oven, one that can cook on top of the stove, and one she can make in advance.

“Flower arrangements are difficult,” says Garten. “I keep things simple by buying a massive amount of one type of flower, like zinnias, peonies, or whatever is inexpensive, and just place them in water glasses.” When dining at a rectangular table, Garten runs 12 flower-filled glasses down the center of the table; when sitting at a round table, it’s a cluster of three. “It’s important to keep arrangements low, so people can see each other,” says Garten. For a finishing touch, she simply adds unscented white votive candles.

To avoid running back and forth to the kitchen as guests arrive, Garten likes to set up bar in the living room. “Put out a pitcher of your signature cocktail (Garten loves whiskey sours) and the basics, and just let everyone help themselves,” says Garten. Her fail-proof party bar includes red and white wine, Champagne, Scotch, vodka, her whiskey sours and some lemonade.
