Silver Cleaner
1 piece of aluminum foil
1-2 tablespoons of baking soda
2 quarts of very hot water
Lay your aluminum foil in your stopped up sink. Add baking soda. Add water. Add silver.
That's it. Really works. Try it, you'll see.
Note: Don't let stainless steel and silver items touch each other; a chemical reaction between the two metals may cause silver to become pitted.
Note to self: Must add baking soda to shopping list. More than one box.
Solution for Hairbrushes and Combs
2 teaspoons shampoo
1/4 cup vinegar
sinkful of warm water
Remove loose hair and soak for several minutes. Scrub clean using nail brush. Rinse with warm running water. Let air dry.

Use equal parts vinegar and warm water. Let stand overnight. Add eggshells or rice grains if needed for scrubbing.
