10 Quick Tips For Your Office

     Batteries
If you clean the battery contacts on your laptop and cordless phone the charge will last for a longer time.  Use the tip of a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol to clean the connection points.

Keyboards
An easy way to clean the gunk between your computer keys is with transparent tape.  Just slide a two inch strip between the rows of your keyboard, and the adhesive will pick up any debris.

Dipping a cotton swab in hydrogen peroxide or alcohol and dabbing between the keys works too.  But what about the top of the keys.  This will accomplish that task effectively.

Office Tools
Need to measure something but don't have a ruler.  A dollar bill is exactly six and a quarter inches long.  Problem solved.

Staple remover substitute needed?  Reach for the nail clippers and save your fingernails.

Corral those cords that are a tangled mess at your desk by using a coiled telephone cord.

Printer Ink
When your printer's out of ink, remove the cartridge and shake it up for a bit.  Stick it back in to the printer and SURPRISE!
OR
Take the ink cartridge out of the printer.  Use a blow dryer to warm it up.  Once it's warm return it to the printer and finish the job.  The heat loosens up any ink clinging to the sides of the cartridge.

Using a thinner font like Times New Roman and Century Gothic will use up to 30 percent less ink than Arial.  Makes Cent$ to me.

Guaranteed Delivery
If your sending a get well card to a friend in the hospital and you aren't sure how long they will be there, try this, just don't tell the post office.  Put the hospital's address on the front of the envelope and  put your friend's address as the return address.  That should do it.
