Buying Tips To Avoid Baggy Jeans or Gaping Waistband

unless you're wearing these
Avoid a gaping waistband in your jeans.
  1. Shop for a contoured waistband. That means higher in the back than in the front and has an angled seam along the top and sides so it fits your curves.
  2. Mid-rise and low-rise can also help with the gaping.
The jeans that stretch out and bag after minimal wear can be avoided.
  1. Look for at least 2 percent spandex, elastane or lycra in the fabric.
  2. You will want a pair of jeans that are snug but not leave imprints on your skin.
  3. Do a few knee bends in the dressing room.  More than 1/2 inch expansion in the fabric means they will probably bag out more when you wear them for any length of time.
Now that's serious.

James Hopwood Jeans
In 1898 he came out Second Wrangler. Jeans was elected Fellow of Trinity College in October 1901, and taught at Cambridge, but went to Princeton University in 1904 as a professor of applied mathematics.  At the University of Cambridge in England, a 'Wrangler' is a student who gains first-class honors in the third year of the University's undergraduate degree in mathematics. The highest-scoring student is the Senior Wrangler, the second highest is the Second Wrangler, and so on. At the other end of the scale, the person who achieves the lowest exam marks, but still earns a third-class degree, is known as the wooden spoon.  Straight from wikipedia.
