Envy.. is the plate of cold food that gets served up as soon as you start pushing ahead of others.

They want you to remain below them, or at least on their level, and if you don't comply, they will attempt to destroy you.  It's difficult to beat back this kind of resistance, but when you encounter it, pretend that it's the work of aliens who have come to eradicate humankind and take over the Earth.  It is hour job to detect the aliens and subvert thei alien ways.  If you cave, the entire human race will be lost!  You are a SUPERHERO!!!
