When they are blended, each will be whole. Until then, each will be slightly defective. These are not my words but those of Linda Goodman's. She wrote the book that I have been getting all my information from this past week. It's called
Sun Signs. The book was first published in the late 60's when it became so popular with the public that it hit the
New York Times bestseller list immediately - the first
astrology book to ever achieve this.

Her next book,
Love Signs made nine
bestseller lists and with
Star Signs - another bestseller -
Linda Goodman brought the world an understanding of metaphysics and numerology. Her books have been translated into many different languages and are available worldwide. Although very sought-after for interviews, Linda Goodman preferred to be something of a recluse. She made her home, high in the mountains of
Colorado, researching and writing about the mysteries of the universe until her death in October 1995. A wish of hers was to be known for her poetry as well as astrology. I haven't read her poetry yet but I'm sure I will like it. Her books of poetry and prose include
Venus Trines at Midnight and
Gooberz.

After reading this book, I feel somewhat more relaxed and confident in who I am. It seems society's influence has made me to believe I behaved and thought the way I did because of me and my wrong or right choices throughout my life. If someone that I don't know and doesn't know me, was born and died before me, can write a very good description of my behaviors and appearance. There must be something to it. I am the way I am because I'm suppose to be this way. It's very liberating. You should check this book out at the Library and see if you don't agree. The book is broken down into sections for each sign. You'll find out how to really know your husband, wife, lover, child, boss, employee as well as yourself. You let me know what you think.
An ancient legend tells of a man who went to a wise mystic to ask for the key to power and occult secrets. He was taken to the edge of a clear lake, and told to kneel down. Then the wise one disappeared, and the man was left alone. string down at his own reflected image in the water.
"What I do, you can do also." "Ask, and you shall receive." "knock, and it shall be opened unto you." "Seek the truth and the truth shall set you free."
Each thing in the universe is part of the universal law, and astrology is the basis of that law. Out of astrology grew religion, medicine and astronomy, not the other way around. There's a sculptured zodiac in the temple of
Thebes, so old that its origin has never been determined. Atlantis? Perhaps. But wherever it's from and whoever carved its symbols its message is eternal: You are endless galaxies - and you have seen but one star.
Her writing style is entertaining to say the least. Linda Goodman's explanations are down-to-earth (parden the pun) and it feels like your sitting in her living room as she is telling you all this in person. I can't decide which book to get next. I can't wait to get some feedback.
