- Stop waisting money on pkgs of seasoned rice. Cook plain rice and add your own herbs and spices. (well, duh...don't know why I am not doing this)
- Boil potatoes for 5 minutes before baking in oven to cut down on baking time. (seems like we are always waiting on the baked potatoes...using the microwave just isn't the same)
- Doesn't hurt to reweigh items in grocery store to make sure there are no discrepancies. (mistakes happen and why should we be the ones to pay for it)
- Look behind newly marked, higher priced items on front of shelf. Sometimes you find a few still marked at the old price in the back. (if the stocker is doing rotation right the newer product should be in the back)
- When using coupons, highlight the expiration date to speed things along at check-out. (don't you just hate those heavy sighs and mumblings when you pull out your coupons to use)
- When making biscuits, roll out dough and cut into squares instead of circles, for a no waste and quicker prep time. (sometimes it's hip to be square...ha ha)
