All About Rainbows

     Rainbows only seem to touch the ground.  They are actually above the earth. 
     A rainbow is really a whole circle.  We just can't see the other half because the earth gets in the way.
     If you stood on a high mountain just before the sun went down, you might see the full circle of a rainbow.
     Sunlight is made up of seven colors.  But when light shines through water, we see all seven colors.  That is a rainbow.
     ROY G. BIV is not the name of a person.  It is a way to remember the colors of a rainbow.  They are Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet.
     The higher the sun is in the sky, the lower the rainbow will be.
