Someone (not mentioning whom) doesn't like to purchase dryer sheets because they think dryer sheets are not necessary for the laundry and can't be used for anything else. Well have I got news for them. They are very useful for lots of other things besides the laundry.
- Put them in areas where you might ordinarily use an air freshener. Like the bottom of a trash can, under the bag.
- Another one that comes to mind is the laundry hamper. But I guess that might be considered for the laundry although it still is another use besides the dryer.
- Static cling can be an issue in the winter months. A dryer sheet wiped on your clothing will make that pain go away.
- Tuck one in your clothing in the summer when gardening to repel insects.
- Spiders hate these things. Strategically place through the house where cobwebs appear.
- Here's a good one. Tuck one inside of the cardboard part of your toilet paper roll. The scent will be released as it rolls.
- If you dampen a dryer sheet, it can be used to clean the soap buildup or water spots on the shower door.
- They are useful when it comes to cleaning windows.
- Dusting electronics with them makes sense.
- Can be used to remove pet hair from furniture or clothing or rugs.
- Books won't have a musty smell if you tuck a dryer sheet in them.
- Keep your scissors working properly by wiping them with a dryer sheet.
- Effective substitute for a Swiffer.
- They will soften the bottom of your feet.
- Paint brushes will clean up easier if a dryer sheet is put in your rinse water.
- Crayon marks can be removed with a dryer sheet.
- Polishes chrome.
- And you don't have to use an entire sheet in the dryer. Cut them in half or even quarters.
- Rub on the soles of those new shoes that are squeaking.
