7 Rules To Teach Children On How To Treat Dogs


 
 Keep your children and the dog out of harms way.  A child's innocent enthusiasm and curiosity might cause a dog to growl or bite.  Educate your children with these 7 basic common sense rules to follow when dealing with a dog.

 How To Treat Dogs
  1. Don't tug a dog's tail or ears.  Teasing a dog is never a good idea.
  2. Leave the dog alone while he is sleeping.  The same goes for eating, never take their foo          
  3. Before petting a dog, make a fist and let him sniff it first.
  4. Enter a home where a dog lives only if someone who can control the dog is home.
  5. Always keep a safe distance away from the dog's mouth or paws.
  6. Be extra careful around dogs that were raised in a home with no children.
  7. Unless the owner is present, always stay away from strange dogs.
