Homemade Halloween Costumes, Any Ideas? Costume Nightmare Confessed

Here's a few ideas:

• wire hangers + pantyhose + glitter = fairy wings
• white plastic lid + scissors + red paint = vampire teeth
• egg carton + scissors + gold paint = crown
• black poster board + scissors + white paint = pirates hat
• attach large hoop earrings to a long scarf to be worn on head for a gypsy fortune teller.
• poke holes in metal juice lids near the edges and tie them together for suit of armor.

Really!?!

I need more ideas.  I know there are creative people out there and I want to hear your ideas.  What about a costume theme for a couple to wear?  If there are more than two people, what are some themes for a large group to haunt the night away together?

 

 

My Costume Nightmare

When I was much younger, my older sister convinced me to be a bag of trash.  That's right, a bag of trash.  We made arm, leg and eye holes in a large green plastic trash bag.  Crumpled up newspaper was the "trash" surrounding my little body, filling the bag up, out, whatever.  The bag was tied right on top of my head.  It was the worst Halloween party, ever. 

The bag didn't allow much movement at all. So, I didn't get to play any games at the party.  And, I didn't get to go to the bathroom, either.  Not fun.   I've tried really hard to erase this particular Halloween from memory.  No matter what I try, it always creeps back every year to haunt me

OK, there!  Since I have confessed it, maybe it will go away now.  When you get done laughing, maybe you could share one of your frightful Halloweens with the rest of us.  We're dying to know.  I can't be the only one with a "creative" older sister.  Love you, Lisa!
