I can't count the number of cement garage floors or cement porches I've seen nicely painted. They're usually gray, but I have seen a few white and one green. Over time every single one of them have peeled. Some paint will survive if not too abused but for the most part it's inevitable.
The answer is quite simple and inexpensive. If people knew this trick I'm sure they would use it. I bet a lot more people would consider sprucing up those cement floors and porches if they knew it would be there to stay.
The answer. Vinegar! Apply with paint brush to the entire area that will be painted. Awesome, huh? I just can't wait to see all the newly painted porch steps with a wide range of colors, I'm sure. Some folks can be very creative.
