Useful Party Tips, You Probably Haven't Heard Of

Neon Sign - Party - Large 13" x 32"

The French use a long-stemmed silver spoon (can use a long iced-tea spoon) handle-down in a refrigerated bottle of left-over champagne to extend the fizz long enough for you to drink it.

This is a great idea to try when your party seems to be dying.  Take away about a third of the chairs and ask a few of your guests to help you get snacks and drinks from the kitchen.
Guests will be forced to interact in a small space.  Accidently rubbing against each other will break the ice and get conversation rolling.

A nice frame for a hostess gift is a good idea.  It's not something that would take the host away from the party to tend to, like putting flowers in water.  Makes for an even nicer gift when you send a print of a picture taken at the party with a nice thank-you note.

Thank You Sign PostAnd what about that thank-you note...

Say something like "how you couldn't have done it without her/him."

Use a lot of adjectives like stunning, wonderful, intelligent.

Finish with something about the future like, "next time dinner is on me."

Walk into the party by yourself with confidence.  (1)  Strut in, keep your spine straight and shoulders down.  (2) Pause for a few seconds.  (3) Slowly walk to the center of the crowd.
