Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 pkg taco seasoning mix
1 can (6oz) tomato sauce
6 to 8 ready-made tostada shells, warmed
1 can (16oz) refried beans
3 tomatoes, chopped
1 cup sour cream
2 avocados, peeled and cubed
1 cup chunky salsa
2 cups shredded Colby Jack cheese
Directions:
Brown ground beef in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat; drain. Stir in seasoning and tomato sauce. Warm tostada shells in the oven and set aside. Heat beans in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently. While the meat mixture simmers, prepare remaining ingredients. To assemble tostadas, add a thin layer of refried beans to each shell, then the ground beef mixture and remaining ingredients, if desired.
