- Keep makeup pencils sharp for better application and also remove any bacteria from point.
- Dry hair before applying makeup. The heat causes you to sweat and makeup to smudge.
- Try moistening your foundation with oil-free toner instead of water. You'll get slip you want plus extra treatment.
- To revive powder makeup that has gotten a little "cakey" from skin oils, take a butter knife and gently scrape off top coating. The powder underneath will be fresh and new.
- Don't remove entire plastic protection from face powders, poke holes in it and shake in lid.
- For dance proof eye shadow, wet shadow before applying. Instead of water try eye drops to form a paste for smoother and longer lasting application.
- Wash makeup brushes once a month in antibacterial soap. After washing put bristles in original shape and let air dry. Brushes can harbor bacteria and excess makeup.
- Lip color can work for blush or eye shadow if blended correctly.
- Let mascara dry before adding another coat.
- Near-sighted glasses make eyes look smaller. Far-sighted glasses make eyes look bigger.
