Pitt Stop

And in case you haven't heard yet.  We have another celebrity among us.  Right here in the Ozarks we play host to a Mr. David Spade while visiting his daughter.  She is adorable! No doubt she's headed for Hollywood with all that personality.

While there is not too much to boast about in Springfield, Mo.  Our ability to respect our neighbor and give them their privacy even if they are famous celebrities, is a virtue of ours here in the middle of everywhere.  Or maybe middle of anywhere would be a better way to say it.

Our theme song of course is... "clowns to the left of me...jokers on the right...stuck in the middle with you..."

And just in case you need a little proof about the Pitts homesteading right smack dab in the middle of the USA, read the article linked below.

They're here...
Hollywood couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt headed to the heart of the US to visit Missouri after spending Christmas in Namibia.
This week the family visited Missouri, where Brad grew up and his parents still live. Angie and her children Zahara and Shiloh were spotted at a local coffee shop. Pitt, 47, and Jolie, 35, also joined his parents Jane and Bill to take a tour round the pediatric centre at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, which was renamed after Jane last year when the family made a $1 million donation. It is likely the couple will continue their holiday celebrations and see in the New Year with the actor’s family in Missouri.

Born December 18, 1963, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Pitt grew up in Springfield, Missouri, the eldest of three children in a devoutly Southern Baptist family. His father, Bill Pitt, owned a trucking company and his mother, Jane Pitt, was a family counselor. Pitt originally aspired to be an advertising art director, studying journalism at the University of Missouri. However, the young college student had other quiet aspirations, the product of a childhood love of movies, which finally seemed tangible his last semester at university when he realized, "I can leave." On a whim, Pitt dropped out of college, packed up his Datsun, and headed West to pursue an acting career in Los Angeles, just two credits shy of a college degree.
Pitt told his parents he intended to enroll in the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, but instead spent the next several months driving a limousine—chauffeuring strippers from one bachelor party to the next, delivering refrigerators, and trying to break into the L.A. acting scene. He joined an acting class and, shortly after, accompanied a classmate as her scene partner on an audition with an agent. In a twist of fate, the agent signed Pitt instead of his classmate. After weathering only seven months in Los Angeles, Pitt had secured an agent and regular acting work.

I have always wanted to hear the story about how Angelina and Brad got together.

"I think we were the last two people who were looking for a relationship. I certainly wasn't," she said. "I was quite content to be a single mom."
The "Tomb Raider" babe admitted she was thrilled working with Pitt every day while shooting "Smith" in 2003 and 2004.
"Because of the film, we ended up being brought together to do all these crazy things, and I think we found this strange friendship and partnership that kind of just suddenly happened. I think a few months in I realized, 'God, I can't wait to get to work,' " she said.
"Whether it was shooting a scene or arguing about a scene or gun practice or dance class or doing stunts — anything we had to do with each other, we just found a lot of joy in it together and a lot of real teamwork. We just became kind of a pair."  Whether it was shooting a scene or arguing about a scene or gun practice or dance class or doing stunts — anything we had to do with each other, we just found a lot of joy in it together and a lot of real teamwork. We just became kind of a pair."

While Jolie adamantly insisted she and Pitt were not seeking to pair up, the pouty-lipped bombshell confessed they were tempted to make more of what they had.
"And it took until, really, the end of the shoot for us, I think, to realize that it might mean something more than we'd earlier allowed ourselves to believe," Jolie said. "And both knowing that the reality of that was a big thing, something that was going to take a lot of serious consideration."
Jolie said she and Pitt remained "very, very good friends" after shooting "Smith." They were resigned to staying nothing more than pals, Jolie said, until Pitt and Aniston announced their breakup in early 2005.
Pitt and Aniston filed for divorce that spring, amid rampant reports that the Hollywood hunk had his eye on Jolie the whole time.
But Jolie said she realized, early on, that she shared a deep, emotional bond with Pitt before they formally hooked up post-Aniston.
"Not as exciting as what a lot of people would like to believe," Jolie said. "We spent a lot of time contemplating and thinking and talking about what we both wanted in life and realized that we wanted very, very similar things."
"And then we just continued to take time. We remained very, very good friends — with this realization - for a long time," she added.
"And then life developed in a way where we could be together, where it felt like something we would do, we should do."
Jolie said she has only briefly met Aniston and would gladly sit down with her — but only of the "Friends" star asked to do so.
"I did [once meet Aniston], but it was not a proper meeting. We've, like, passed each other and said 'hi' briefly, shook hands. But not a real sit-down-and-talk kind of meeting," Jolie said.
"That would be her decision [for a long sit-down], and I would welcome it."
Jolie said she doesn't plan to marry Pitt, but they're committed to raising their boy and two girls.
She gave birth to their daughter, Shiloh, earlier this year, after adopting Maddox from Cambodia in 2002 and taking in Zahara from Ethiopia in 2005.
"We both have been married before, so it's not marriage that's necessarily kept some people together.
"We are legally bound to our children, not to each other, and I think that's the most important thing," she said.

Welcome To The Middle
ready or not, here they come!

Is the heartland ready for the Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt circus?  A report claims that the Bible belt may wish to buckle up as the Pitt-Jolie clan is reportedly building a ‘Missouri mansion’ so they can hopefully spend some time with the kids near Pitt’s traditional family.

Star Magazine reports that the home will have seven bedrooms.
“He and Angie bought a lot of furniture and artifacts in Africa,” a source tells the weekly magazine.  “They plan on bringing those to Springfield.”    Even though a report earlier from Star claimed that Jolie and her quasi in-laws were not getting along so well right now, the home is but a mere quarter mile from Pitt’s folks Bill and Jane home.
That home reportedly already has a nursery for baby Shiloh at the ready.  What will the sleepy Springfield think of the attention Jolie and Pitt receive if they spend time at their new digs?
It could get very interesting in Springfield if the circus that follows the couple around comes to town.
